What we believe
Our mission
Building relationships that change lives through Jesus Christ
Our vision
Living Hope is a congregation where the Word of God is fostering and nurturing an environment where evangelism and discipleship go hand in hand as we allow the Holy Spirit to empower and enable us to become all that God has called us to be as a unified body of believers.
Statement of faith
We believe, confess and adhere to the Holy Scriptures. We believe that the Holy Bible, consisting of the sixty-six canonical books of the Old and New Testaments, is inspired, was without error in its original writing, and is the sole authority for faith and practice. It is the holy, and infallible Word of God revealed for the salvation of man.
We believe in ONE holy and Triune God who is revealed in three distinct persons; The Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit, yet these three are ONE! The Father is not the Son, the Son is not the Father and the Holy Spirit is neither the Father or the Son, yet there is ONE holy and Triune God who has created the universe and everything in it and is clearly revealed through the person and work of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior (John 1:18).
We believe that man, although created without sin, fell by Adam’s transgression so that all mankind is now sinful by state, disposition, and act, and justly under God’s condemnation.
We believe the only way of salvation for sinners is by grace through faith. Salvation was made possible by the substitutionary death and glorious resurrection of the Son of God. The gospel is the message that salvation is available through belief in the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ. The blessings of salvation are made free to all by the gospel. It is the need of all to accept the gospel by faith and all who do so receive all of the benefits of salvation.
We teach that the Apostolic, the Nicene, and the Athanasian Creeds, the Unaltered Augsburg Confession and Luther’s Small Catechism are correct expositions of the Word of God.
